Is Printing still a suitable medium in 2022?

As the world creates a virtual presence, the main question is if printed newspapers and magazines still connect to an audience and are still an excellent medium to convey information. In this blog, we’ll explore if printing materials are still viable in this digital world or not.

Most communication companies and news publications have upgraded their content and communication medium from print to digital. This is because digital is easier to reach, costs of the companies are cut in half, reaches a broader audience, and provides them with a platform to be more creative. 

However, there are certain aspects of printing due to which they are still in existence today and will be for a long time. I have mentioned and explained some of these aspects in detail, which makes printing an edge over digital.

Printing still has a cachet.

Polished magazines and significant newspapers carry a distinct cachet that digital doesn’t possess. Your presence would have some literal weight. For any magazine or newspaper, going digital is necessary. However, they can strive to balance digital and print for any campaign to provide a multidimensional approach.  

Reaches a distinct audience

Print is already a target-specific forum and is needed for any region with a physical customer presence. Physical contact would include contact with your customers, such as a retail store or event. For instance, newspapers and magazines make sense in an airport as people would read while waiting for their flight, so the publications invest in print there. Also, direct mail is the most efficient way to reach senior citizens who will skim through long-copy mailers.

These are some of the points that give print media an edge over digital media.
